MANAGER FOR PIECES THAT MUST BE SET AS FOLLOWING EACH OTHER

From the ESTESA VERSION 9.1 of the cutting pattern optimizing program LEONARDO, it is possible through the use of macro, to select the pieces that must be following each other on the cutting patterns and have LEONARDO handle this properly to manage the grain for example. For example, this function will be called in the case of a kitchen cabinet composed with four large drawers and one regular drawer on top.

CONFIGURABLE MODULES

in the version ESTESA, the configurable module lets the creation of a library of modules of wich every element is automatically computed based on the overall measures.  The operator has at his disposal 10 variables for the measures, 10 variables for the colours, 10 variables for the material and finally 10 variables for the edges. A bitmap picture can be attached to every module. This is ideal for the manufacturer of kitchen of the interior designers.

Optimization

Il gives the best solution taking into account the technical features of the machines, the saving of materials and optimal cutting patterns.

With the manual optimizer it is possible to manually intervene on the cutting patterns automatically generated by the software in order to insert or move some parts or to make up the boards with a high percentage of scraps.

For that kind of operation, the operator has at his disposal a set of tools to bring the parts together, or make them rotate or to copy and verify the feasibility. All those tools will unload the necessary controls onto the operator to obtain the best cutting patterns.

Choice of the best format.

The optimizer brings the parts together according to the material, the thickness, the pattern. The operator selects among the proposed boards and their availability in the warehouse, the ones that reduce to a minimum the scraps, the time and the total cost of the production.

Taking into account the available board formats from the supplier or the best measures to get the minimum of scraps, the software can choose the best formats for a particular production.

Technology

Leonardo manages the grain, the maximum clearance, the disposition of the parts to avoid the deformations and the trimming of boards

Data for the sawing

The sequences of sawing are either available as printouts and/or as numerical data.

Any kind of machines can be managed, each with their specific settings.

The post-processor makes the most of the settings of the sawing machines

Getting the data

All the data concerning the warehouse or the production can be imported/exported from/to ASCII files or MS Excel® sheets, from standard or customised fields.

Printout and reports

Printouts of cutting patterns, summaries, sequences of cut, optimization costs, of labels and barcodes.

Support and various settings

The production settings can be set as default or a group of parts can be set with specific settings.

Estimates, time and costs

The calculation of time can be anticipated or the calculation of a particular production.

Estimates can be produced taking into account the cost of material, the hourly cost of operating the machines and the overall labour costs.

Edges management

Edges can be managed on each side, even if different

Subsequent tasks

For each production step it is possible to associate barcodes and numeric codes related to the steps that will follow the sawing.

Codes will specify the details for the subsequent steps.

Testimonials

Leonardo is very simple to use, elaborate in its possibilities and fast. Offcuts seldom exceed 10% . The patterns are readable by every worker thank to their clarity. In one word: efficient.
